SecureBootLabs Terms of Service

Welcome to SecureBootLabs. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, products, software, digital downloads, bootable USB drives, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using any SecureBootLabs product or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Services.


1. About SecureBootLabs

SecureBootLabs develops and distributes software, bootable USB drives, operating system installations, recovery utilities, educational resources, and related technology products intended for lawful, educational, professional, and personal use.

Our products may include open-source operating systems, recovery environments, security tools, developer environments, forensic utilities, and system maintenance software that have been packaged, configured, or distributed for customer convenience.


2. Eligibility

By using our Services, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

  • You have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

  • You will use our products only for lawful purposes.


3. Lawful Use

5. Bootable USB Products

Our bootable USB drives are professionally prepared and tested before shipment.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring their computer supports booting from USB.

  • Configuring BIOS or UEFI settings when necessary.

  • Backing up important data before installing or modifying operating systems.

  • Confirming that the selected product meets their needs.

SecureBootLabs is not responsible for incompatibilities caused by unsupported hardware, manufacturer restrictions, firmware settings, or user configuration.


6. Software and Digital Products

Software, digital downloads, license keys, and electronic content are licensed—not sold.

Unless otherwise stated, SecureBootLabs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use purchased software for your personal or internal business use in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

  • Redistribute purchased software without authorization.

  • Resell digital downloads unless expressly permitted.

  • Remove copyright notices or licensing information.

  • Reverse engineer proprietary SecureBootLabs software where prohibited by law or license.

Open-source software included with our products remains subject to its respective open-source license.

  • SecureBootLabs name

  • Logos

  • Branding

  • Product packaging

  • Documentation

  • Website content

  • Product images

  • Custom software

  • Original graphics

  • Original written content

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of SecureBootLabs intellectual property.

Third-party software, operating systems, trademarks, and logos remain the property of their respective owners.


8. Open-Source Software

Many SecureBootLabs products include software distributed under open-source licenses.

Those components remain governed by their respective licenses.

SecureBootLabs does not claim ownership of open-source operating systems or software included with our products. We provide professionally prepared media, packaging, documentation, configuration, and support services where applicable.


9. Orders and Payments

Prices are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse or cancel orders.

  • Limit purchase quantities.

  • Correct pricing errors.

  • Decline transactions suspected of fraud or abuse.

If payment has already been processed for a canceled order, a refund will be issued.


10. Shipping

Estimated shipping times are estimates only.

SecureBootLabs is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Shipping carriers

  • Customs processing

  • Weather events

  • Natural disasters

  • Labor disruptions

  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Risk of loss generally passes to the customer upon delivery by the carrier.


11. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by the SecureBootLabs Refund & Return Policy.

By making a purchase, you acknowledge that you have reviewed that policy.


12. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining backups of important data.

  • Understanding the risks associated with operating system installation and recovery tools.

  • Following installation instructions.

  • Verifying hardware compatibility.

  • Using products responsibly.

Failure to maintain backups may result in permanent data loss.


13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SecureBootLabs products and services are provided "as is" and "as available."

We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including, without limitation:

  • Merchantability

  • Fitness for a particular purpose

  • Non-infringement

  • Continuous availability

  • Error-free operation

No advice or information provided by SecureBootLabs creates any warranty unless expressly stated in writing.


14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SecureBootLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of our products or services.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Hardware damage

  • Software corruption

  • System downtime

  • Lost productivity

Where liability cannot be excluded, SecureBootLabs' total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable product or service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SecureBootLabs, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
